About:
The new dance performance from the Anna Holter Company: Entr'acte. An "act between acts"; the scene is cleared so a new act can begin. A creative process necessarily entails making painful decisions. Things just newly discovered and created have to be thrown overboard, beautiful things must be destroyed. That essential verb of modern life, "reinvention" requires the ability to adeptly lay aside faded models of identity. From far away or with hindsight such a departure may seem almost organic. But in the moment itself everything must be thrown into confusion.
