Anna has worked as choreographer for her own dance company as well as for productions at Teatro alla Scala, Salzburger Festspiele, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Oper Dortmund, Oper Bonn, Bayerische Staatsschauspiel München, Läckö Castle, Theater Konstanz, Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel Munich, Theater St Gallen, Junge Oper Nationaltheater Mannheim, as well as for smaller independent theatre groups.
She is member at the choreographic association Tanztendenz e.V. in Munich since 2006 and she’s been a member of Teaterförbundet in Sweden since 2013.

Artistic Leader
Since 2020 Holter initiate, direct and produce the award winning short-film series Moving Isolation – an artistic diary, that has won great international response at numerous festivals.As Artistic Leader Anna Holter created 12 pieces for the company Anna Holter + Company, founded in 2001. The dance company was supported by many institutions notably Kulturreferat der Landeshauptstadt München, Fonds Darstellende Künste, Bayerische Landeszentrale für Zeitgenössischen Tanz and the Swedish embassy in Berlin. She toured with the company internationally and her production "Meeting with Oneself" was selected to represent Germany at the dance festival Danse à Lille.
Dancer/Actress
As a dancer she has worked at Theater Basel, Tanzquartier Wien, Dansens Hus Stockholm, Queen Elizabeth Hall London, Bunka Kaikan Opera Tokyo, Prinzregententheater Munich, Schauburg - Theater der Jugend, Bayerische Staatsoper and Bayerische Staatsschauspiel, to mention a few. She has worked with choreographers and directors like Rosemary Butcher, Achim Freyer, Amir Hosseinpour, Marco Santi, Michael Keegan-Dolan, Mia Lawrence, Itztoc Kovac, Johannes Schmid, Charlotta Öfverholm and Milli Bitterli.As actress in film:

Background
Born and raised in Stockholm, Anna Holter left for Munich in 1995 to finish her dance education at the Iwanson International School Of Contemporary Dance from where she graduated in 1997. Since then Anna has worked internationally as a dancer, choreographer and teacher. After 18 years abroad, Anna moved back to Stockholm in 2013.
She has been an active member at the choreographic association Tanztendenz e.V. in Munich since 2006 and she’s been a member of Teaterförbundet in Sweden since 2013.
Since back in Stockholm, Anna Holter achieved various courses and a number of credits at the Stockholm University of the Arts within directing, physical editing, how to make opera and at the University in Stockholm in theatre science, dance science, music science an culture studies.

Since finishing dance school 1997, Anna Holter has been choreographing for dance, her own dance company Anna Holter + Company, for theatre, opera and film. Recently she produced the short-film series Moving Isolation – an artistic diary – and is currently working on H/H, a dance- music- technique-installation concept with Vienna based composer Rupert Huber and partner AVL Cultural Foundation in Graz.

2014-2016 she choreographed three productions at Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf, co-produced by Oper Dortmund and Oper Bonn. 2016 she worked as a choreographer at Teatro alla Scala Milano and the production "Il Ratto Dal Serraglio Per Bambini" Mozart, and later for Festspielhaus Baden-Baden. 2018 she made her debut as co-director for Läckö Casle Lidköping with the Opera "Vampyren" (der Vampyr) by Heinrich Marschner. And 2020 as co-director for "Kohlhaas!" Heinrich von Kleist played at Teater Giljotin in Stockholm.
In 2019 director in chanrge for the revival of "Die Schneekönigin" by Marius Felix Lange at Oper Bonn.

Teacher
From 2019 teacher for the singer students at University Collage of Opera in Stockholm within “movements for stage”. Six years at the actor school TheaterRaum München, with actor students in movement and dance. Regular guest lecturer at University of Arts, Craft and Design within Choreography and Exploring the body as corpus and its ability to move, earlier guest lecturer at the Ludwig-Maximilian-Universität in Munich. Taught at various dance schools as Iwanson Contemporary Dance School in Munich and Balettakademin in Stockholm. 2023 mentor for student at Balettakademin, Stockholm.
