Echo from yesterday and tomorrow

a project by Anna Holter + Company

"Young talent in sight: the Swedish dancer Anna Holter attracted attention immediately after finishing at the Ivanson School in Munich. Now, if not with one of her previous dozen pieces, she demands attention as a serious choreographer with her latest piece Echo - from yesterday and tomorrow "

About:

Space does not exist in isolation, it rather reveals itself with every step which is taken into it.
Echo is part of a trilogy in which Holter and her dancers experiment with specific social ideas. Following Meeting with Oneself (2004, Meeting-Trilogy Part I) and Involved (2005, Meeting-Trilogy Part II) Holter takes spatial perception and memory as her theme for Part III.
What affect do particular places have on different people? What is unlocked in them? What links individuals to particular rooms and spaces and how can these subjective experiences and dreams be expressed in an intersubjective language of dance or movement? Associations with places, associations with scenes, associations with oneself, associations with associations, associations with what else. Dance.

This project was produced with the generous support of the Kulturreferat der Landeshauptstadt Munich, Bayerischer Landesverband für Zeitgenössichen Tanz (BLZT), Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst and Tanztendenz Munich e.V., the Swedish Embassy and i-camp/Neues Theater Munich.
